In almost all service cases, these bolts are used to fix the well-known front-end acceleration shudder common in older Model S and X vehicles from 2012-2020.
The factory-installed front motor mounts were too soft. Under hard acceleration, the front motor twists, throwing the drive axles out of alignment and causing a heavy shaking sensation in the cabin. The Fix: Tesla released a service bulletin to replace the old mount with a stiffer, double-isolated clevis mount. These high-strength M10 bolts are required to tightly anchor that new, heavy-duty mount back into the front structural subframe.
